Coordinating and promoting catechetical formation and evangelization
The Diocesan Catechetical Department is responsible for coordinating and promoting catechetical formation and evangelization activities within the Diocese. It embraces the entire life of Catholics—children, youth, and adults—by providing basic teachings of the Catholic faith. It works closely with priests, parishes, catechists, schools, Small Christian Communities, and various Church groups to strengthen the faith of the people of God.
Through these activities, the Department seeks to deepen the Catholic faith, improve catechetical teaching, and strengthen the mission of evangelization throughout the Diocese.
The Department operates under the guidance of the bishop and collaborates with priests, religious men and women, and lay faithful to ensure effective catechetical ministry throughout the Diocese.
The Catechetical Department is headed by the Director of Catechesis, who oversees all catechetical activities and programs in the Diocese.
